During my senior year of high school, I
had to give presentations on both my
year-long biochemistry internship and my Advanced Placement (AP) portfolio. I combined the two by
creating a series of illustrations based
on the biochemistry internship. My goals
were to:
- Illustrate protein engineering in a
way that is understandable to a
nonscientific audience (when accompanied by my simplified explanations in the presentation)
- Strengthen my Photoshopping skills
(Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 & CS3
used, though I've since been working with Adobe Illustrator as well)
