In the summer of 2008, I was an undergraduate researcher in a materials science/chemistry program. My job in the lab was to synthesize silver nanoprisms and conduct aqueous to organic phase transfers of those nanoprisms. Some other members of the research group were working on a project dealing with organic electronic materials and requested that I produce a Table of Contents image to accompany an article of theirs that had recently been accepted into the scientific journal Advanced Materials. Cover submissions were then designed and a few months later, one of the three I created was featured as the inside cover of the January 2009 issue.
